I will stamp all over 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote the upcoming bout.

Former twice world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth disparity - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I plan to break his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

Despite these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead targeted former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making huge financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the customary stare-down, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly going ahead.
